These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Whitevan ("Whitevan," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the Whitevan website, mobile app, and related on-demand home services platform (the "Service"). By visiting the Whitevan website, creating an account, signing in via a third-party identity provider, uploading content, or otherwise using any part of the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Whitevan is a technology platform that connects homeowners ("Customers") in Oklahoma City with independent local service professionals ("Pros") who provide plumbing, electrical, Heat & AC, handyman, cleaning, lawn, moving, roof inspection, gutter, and similar services. Whitevan is NOT a provider of those services; Pros are independent contractors and not employees, agents, or partners of Whitevan.
You must be at least 18, legally capable of forming a binding contract, and not barred from using the Service under U.S. law. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and are responsible for all activity under your account.
Prices displayed in the app are starting service-call rates only. The final price may increase based on labor time, parts, materials, scope changes, after-hours work, or unforeseen conditions discovered during the job. By confirming a job you authorize Whitevan and its payment processor to (a) place a pre- authorization hold for the estimate, (b) capture the actual final amount agreed at completion, and (c) charge any tip you add. Promotional prices, including $0 services, may require eligibility criteria and are subject to availability.
Payment is processed by Stripe. Whitevan retains a service fee and remits the balance to the Pro through Stripe Connect. Sales tax is calculated and remitted by Stripe Tax where applicable. You may dispute a charge within 7 days through the app; refunds are made at Whitevan's reasonable discretion based on the job's chat log, photos, and Pro report.
Customers may cancel a job at any time before a Pro arrives. Cancellations after a Pro is en route or on site may be charged a trip fee. Pros who cancel after accepting may be subject to deactivation. Repeated no-shows by either party will result in account suspension.
Customers must (a) provide safe, lawful access to the job site, (b) accurately describe the work needed, (c) be present or authorize an adult to be present during the job, (d) not request unlawful or unsafe work, and (e) treat Pros with respect.
Pros represent and warrant that they (a) hold all licenses, insurance (general liability and, where applicable, workers' compensation), and registrations required to perform the services in Oklahoma; (b) complete background and identity verification; (c) perform work in a professional, workmanlike manner that meets applicable codes; (d) carry the required tools and supplies; (e) comply with the Whitevan Pro Code of Conduct; and (f) accurately report job status. Pros are independent contractors solely responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and equipment.
By applying as a Pro, you consent to identity verification and a background check performed by a third- party consumer reporting agency. Whitevan reserves the right to reject or deactivate any Pro based on the results in compliance with applicable law.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." WHITEVAN DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WHITEVAN DOES NOT WARRANT THE QUALITY, SAFETY, OR LEGALITY OF ANY WORK PERFORMED BY A PRO. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WHITEVAN'S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO WHITEVAN IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100). WHITEVAN WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Whitevan and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claim, loss, liability, damage, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, your interactions with any Customer or Pro, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
Most disputes can be resolved by contacting support@whitevan.co. If a dispute is not resolved within 30 days, you and Whitevan agree that any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, in Oklahoma County, OK. YOU AND WHITEVAN WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND THE RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION. You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of accepting these Terms by emailing legal@whitevan.co.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Subject to Section 11, the state and federal courts located in Oklahoma County have exclusive jurisdiction over any non-arbitrable dispute.
Plan changes. You may upgrade or downgrade between Basic and Protect at any time from the Plans screen with no fees, penalties, or proration disputes. The switch takes effect immediately. Downgrading does not delete any data you've already saved; Protect-only features simply become unavailable until you upgrade again. Account cancellation. You may close your account at any time from Profile & Settings. Your account, home profile, uploaded documents, AI reviews, household records, messages, and all other content you've saved will remain accessible to you through the end of the billing month in which you requested cancellation, after which your account and all associated personal data will be permanently and irreversibly deleted. If you sign up for Whitevan again after that date, you will be starting from a blank account and must re-upload every document and re-enter all data. By confirming cancellation in the app, you acknowledge and agree to this deletion schedule. Suspension by Whitevan. We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms, suspected fraud, risk to safety, non-payment, or as required by law. We may also retain limited transactional, tax, dispute, and fraud-prevention records as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may modify these Terms by posting an updated version in the Service and, for material changes, notifying you in advance. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
